Identify these 2 Coins

Recently, we received 2 coins from a friend of ours. He too does not know from which country these coins are from.

It will really help if you can identify and let us know which country these coins belong too. Thanks.

Our coin collection

Coin Collection can be an extremely addictive hobby, especially with the documetation and identifying some of the toughest countries like coins from the Arab Countries.

Collecting coins was never our cup of tea ... until one day we noticed a huge pile of coins collected from our overseas trips.

It was'nt that big to start with, a few coins from Singapore, Malaysia, US, Canada, Brazil, Maldives, Switzerland ...

Then one day we chanced upon a coin exhibition and then the thirst to collect coins for every single country in the world began. Even from dead countries (a term we came across in the exhibition) and within no time our collection grew from a modest 50 world coins to 1000 world coins and still growing as of today.

Everyday, we seem to add more and more coins to our collection, most of the coins given to us by friends and family that make overseas trips.

There are many series that coin collectors like to induldge in. Commonly, most novince collectors go for a coin from each country in the world.

Then a more progressive level would be each denomination from each country in the world.

And some even go to the extent of collecting each year of each denomination from each country in the world ... Now you can imagine, how a hobby like this can have no end.

One of our favourite collections is the UK - King George Penny Colleciton. Another is the India -quater Anna colleciton. There are many more which i will list shortly.

Would love to hear from you if you are also an ardent coin collector and the series or collections that you have.
